Do all direct employees and sub-contractors of Murphy Building & Civil Contractors have current safe pass cards and Insurances?

Yes all workers have to produce a copy for their safe pass and insurance cover to enter a Murphy Building & Civil Contractors site. This is logged in our safety file for each separate on -going job. Our own insurances cover Employers Liability €13m / Public Liability 6.5m/ Product liability 6.5m and Contractors all risk. Policy number: 01 CCP 2819143

Do you look for stage payment before work commences on site?

No. On one off housing projects we generally have 5/6 stage payments as work progresses pending approval and sign off from your engineer. On smaller project of 4-8 weeks we will normally look for one intermediate payment before final sign off.

How do you deal with extras on the job?

In an ideal world these are dealt with and a fixed price is agreed before work would commence. In certain situations where the extent of the works are unknown a day rate will apply. Regular communication with you is the key to avoiding any unwanted surprises at the end of a job whilst also promoting transparency.
